Twitter’s not as popular as first thought

There is a lot of hype around at the moment to do with Twitter and how wonderful it is. Everybody seems to be watching it as if it’s the next best thing.

However, I don’t personally follow that opinion and nor do most people I know. A lot of voices say “I just don’t get it”.

A recent study showed that the social networking site Twitter has a retention rate of less than 40%. That means that of all the people who sign up to Twitter less than half actually bother logging back in to use the service within the first month!

I must confess that I am one of these said people! Perhaps Twitter is just a bit too qwerky for entire world domination?
